Beyond - A photographic production
‘Beyond’ is a visual production which invites viewers to observe and understand the concept of moving towards the normalisation of non-heterosexual identities in Maltese society. The aesthetics of this project aim to encourage a more progressive way of thinking, and strives to be the primary example by which equal depictions of non-heterosexual and heterosexual individuals, can be achieved. It culminates in a black and white collective catalogue, portraying three models whose sexual identities remain unbeknownst to the viewers. The final artwork of this project, which can be seen on the left, combines the facial features of the models and alludes to the concept that there is more to an individual than just their sexuality.
