Adapting Marouska Montebello’s Ir-Re Selfjun and other Maltese folktales
Jeremy’s project explores the subject of an adaptation from Maltese literary works through the medium of the comics, i.e. sequential art. This study uses primary research to determine whether comics can contribute in increasing reading popularity within the Maltese community. The theme chosen for this adaptation of tales involved Maltese Folktales. In collaboration with author Marouska Montebello who has chosen two lesser known folktales and gave them her own twist.
