‘Coffee Stars’ is a strategic project created for a hypothetical brand, to explore the idea of creating an eye-catching advert that stands out on a social media platform. Due to the short attention span of today's generations, two excerpts taken from the full animation were adapted to form a short narration that flows from one scene to the other. Stop motion animation was identified as an ideal tool that can potentially engage with the viewer’s attention and stops them from scrolling away. Additionally, the 3D stand was created to represent a scenario where the brand is being launched, along with promotional material that conforms with the product design. The design carries a historical connotation that refers back to the introduction of coffee in Malta. Research, an interview and an online survey sustain the approach taken for this project to be completed and finalised.
